I got this recipe from my mom. The name comes from the fact that my nephew told us that it was the best bread he’d ever had at a birthday party.Â It is so good. Of course my mom usually makes a homemade loaf of French bread. I, however, forgot to put the ingredients in the breadmaker before church, so I bought a loaf of fresh French bread. It was still good!
Best Birthday Party Bread
1 loaf French bread
1/2 cup soft butter or margarine
2 teaspoons snipped parsley
1/2 teaspoon oregano leaves
2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
1/8 teaspoon garlic salt
Heat oven to 400 degrees. Cut bread into 1-inch slices.
Cream butter or margarine with remaining ingredients.
Spread bread generously with butter mixture. Reassemble loaf; wrap
securely in heavy duty foil. Heat 15 to 20 minutes.
