We had a pretty uneventful weekend, but it was still nice and relaxing.
Friday night we went to dinner at Old Chicago. I had pizza… yummm!! and Chad had a calzone. We love that place. Just wish we didn’t have to go to Apple Valley. One nice thing is that they have sides of fresh veggies. And they are really good and fresh! Why can’t more restaurants offer that!
Saturday I went and ran some errands. Target errands, but that means going to Savage. I got groceries and prescriptions filled and maybe bought a couple of other things too! You know how Target is! Chad slept and worked on the wallpaper in the baby’s room.
Sunday.. hmmm… We went to church. I made pancakes. Chad watched the Daytona 500 and I went to dinner with 5 friends from Retek (the first time I worked there). I don’t think we had all been together since the first round of layoffs, so Oct 2002? Or maybe Steph’s wedding (July 2003). Anyway, it was a Long Long time! So it was fun!
Monday, President’s day! Chad had to work. I didn’t, but somehow I still had to be responsible and get him up and going! I had the washer/dryer running most of the day, so that was productive and I also took down most of the wallpaper in the kitchen! It was easy, as it is only the bottom of the wall and the border. The only part left is what is behind the fridge and the hutch. So once we get all the wallpaper down in there and the baby’s room, then we’re going to get someone in here to paint! Yeah!! And then it will feel more like MINE! I mean OURS! (I have to share, but I’d like to think I have the last word in decorating?!)
Work has been busy the last couple days. Things are ramping up. I don’t like it. It’s very frustrating the project I’m working on is a bit disorganized and not that I’m a detail person, I still like to know where I’m coming from and where I’m going. Most days I just feel like I push paper around on my desk and go to meetings where I take notes and then I have more paper to push… At least it’s a short week! I can be thankful for that!
