Last weekend started early, with a snowstorm. Thursday night, we got home from work and pretty much knew we were staying home on Friday too. Chad and I both stayed home. I did a little work (about an hour) remotely, but then pretty much vegged out most of the day. Karin was still able to fly in and came over late afternoon.
We headed out shopping and ran some other errands too, including getting some Chinese food. The rest of the night, we just talked and caught up. Anne came over for breakfast. I made pancakes (with strawberry and blueberry sauces + whipped cream) and bacon. Yummmm….
Saturday afternoon, Karin left to hang out with Heather the rest of the weekend. I went to a baby shower. After the shower Chad and I pretty much just laid low. We watched Talledega Nights, which was much funnier the second time around. Probably because I didn’t have the same high expectations. Although I did fall asleep. Something about a heating pad in the lazy boy is not conducive to keeping me awake!
Sunday, we had lunch with Chad’s parents and did some shopping. I took a nap while Chad watched golf. Then he finished taking down the wallpaper in the baby’s room while I cleaned out the hall closet. And then I had to start thinking about going back to work on Monday… 😦
All in all it was a nice relaxing weekend. It was great seeing Karin! And it was great having an extra day to relax!
