The Nursery

Per Stacy’s request, here are some pictures of the nursery.

I guess I only took 1 “Before” Picture. But it gives an idea of the wallpaper Chad had to take down!

Here’s what it looks like now:

The dresser and shelves are the only thing we kept in the room. Although the shelves were rehung staggered (not an easy process – Thanks, Mom!!)  The valances were made (and hung) by my talented mother also!

The wallhanging is actually the crib quilt my mom made for me when I was a baby!

Here’s the crib, and again the bedskirt was made by my mom.

And the quilt, obviously made by Grandma! The bumper pad was left behind when it was delivered, but is just the squares all the way around with a ruffle, like the valances and quilt.

So thanks to my Mom for her time in helping hang things up and sewing and hunting down all this fabric for her picky daughter!  Thanks to Chad’s parents for helping to fund this beautiful crib for baby!  Thanks to Sarah for helping to set up the furniture. And thanks to Chad for working hard on getting the wallpaper down to meet my demanding timelines!

  2. Wonderful, wonderful. What a lovely baby room. I love the runner under the rocking chair. Great idea! You have a wonderful Mom!
