It was another long week.  My uncle Jim passed away quite unexpectedly last Sunday.  So we had the wake and funeral this past week.  It was definitely very sad, but also quite nice to see aunts and uncles and cousins and all the family that we don’t see often enough.

Friday I spent at home, caught up on work a little bit and ran some errands.

Today, we headed to the zoo around 9:30.  It was a bit chilly, but we were still able to do the outside trails.  It was really fun now that Maria is learning all the different animals. She especially liked the monkeys and the otters. Although she maybe just liked the water the otters were in.  We also got to see the grizzlies up close again too.  Saw they will have giraffes, zebras, and ostriches next summer so that will be a very cool exhibit!

I also trimmed Maria’s bangs yesterday. My mom pointed out on Thursday that they needed a trim, so I got some shears and trimmed them up a little bit.  Chad thinks they could be trimmed more, but it’s scary. I don’t want to screw anything up, especially with her 18 month pictures coming up in a couple weeks!
