I just finished reading Star of the Sea, by Joseph O’Connor (brother to Sinéad O’Connor). A friend/co-worker recommended it knowing I like historical fiction. It was a little slow getting into. And there were definite characters and chapters that were more interesting to me. BUT at the same time, I really enjoyed how the characters and stories all came together at the end. Plus the ending was a surprise!

Would I recommend it? I think if you have more time than I do to read, I’d recommend it, but if you’re on one book every 1-2 months, you may want to choose another book.
