I finished reading American Wife, by Curtis Sittenfeld, last week.  It was excellent and really kept me engaged from the beginning.

The book is fiction, but based on the life of First Lady Laura Bush.  It was kind of tough to remind myself as I read to keep in mind this was fiction and not a memoir or biography. It was however well written and a reminder that those who live life in the public eye may have a life outside the public eye that needs to be respected.  I really enjoyed it!
