We have given Charlie baby oatmeal a couple times but he never really seemed to A) enjoy it or B) swallow it very well. And I just chalked that up to him not being ready. Until yesterday!

Yesterday midday I mixed up a lovely bowl of oatmeal for him and after a couple of bites he was opening his mouth and inviting that spoon in!

Then last night he sat in the high chair and watched us eat. Just looking around at us and he seemed to want to say (if he could talk) “Hey! Where is mine?”

So after I finished my food I mixed up another bowl of oatmeal and carried it over and as soon as I sat down and Charlie noticed I had a bowl and his spoon, he was panting and opening his mouth! He is a full-fledged cereal eater now!
