Harvesting the Heart by Jodi Picoult
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
It has been many years since I’ve read a Jodi Picault book, so I’m not sure if I’m remembering how enthralled I got in her other books. This one was good, but the characters and storyline kind of dragged out. I think I was almost half-way through before I really didn’t want to put it down, although once I got halfway through, I was sucked in and finally rooting for the characters, who up to that point seemed like they thought of themselves as victims. If you’re a fan of Jodi Picault, you’ll probably want to read it. If you’ve never read any of her books, I’d start with another, this was not her best.
I LOVE Jodi Picoult books, but I have to agree – I couldn’t get into this one. Never finished it . . I think my favorite is still My Sister’s Keeper . . .
I liked that one too. The other one I liked was about the Amish girl who got pregnant. Can’t remember what it was called but I remember it was so good.
