Calling Me Home by Julie Kibler

This is the best book I have read in quite a while. The story of 2 women – a 90 year old woman, Isabelle, and her hairdresser, Dorrie – who take a road trip to a funeral. Throughout the story, the Isabelle tells the story of her first love – a forbidden love – to a black man. A definite page turner – I couldn’t put it down.
