Me Before You by Jojo Moyes

I actually started this book a few times before getting into it. Based on recommendations though I kept at it. And by far it is the best book I have read in a long time! I could not put it down!

Big Little Lies by Liane Moriarty

The foreshadowing in this book really kept me intrigued. And even though the foreshadowing helped me figure out what was going to happen, the characters and plot still pulled me in. Another that I was sad to see end…

Someone Else’s Love Story by Joshilyn Jackson

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This was an excellent read. The story of 2 people who meet during a convenience store robbery. I found myself rooting for the main characters and their sidekicks. I couldn’t put it down. This is definitely a 4 1/2 star book, but I couldn’t quite bring myself to give it a 5… still highly recommend.

Miranda’s Big Mistake by Jill Mansell
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This may be more of a 3.75 rating, so I rounded it up. A good book. Although half-way through I thought I was at the end of it. That’s the tricky part about reading ebooks. The 2nd half of the book was still good and although the ending was predictable I enjoyed reading how we got there. Good book.

An Offer You Can’t Refuse by Jill Mansell
My rating: 2 of 5 stars

I didn’t love this book. I read it. I liked the characters. But there were quite a bit of them and their stories while co-mingled where kind of disconnected. I think I was halfway through the book before I realized what the plot was (and that it didn’t really have a main plot). That being said the author arrived at the predictable ending a little too easily.

To Have and to Hold by Jane Green
My rating: 1 of 5 stars

This book left a lot to be desired. I did like the characters and found myself rooting for Alice and Harry, but it took a long time wading through the cheating life of Alice’s husband before Alice takes a clue…. long and drawn out. Not much substance.

I’ve Got Your Number by Sophie Kinsella

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Pretty typical Sophie Kinsella. I don’t think I loved it as much as Shopaholic, but it was still very enjoyable.

Quick fun reading for this busy time of year.

Heart of the Matter by Emily Giffin

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I love Emily Giffin’s other books. And this one wasn’t horrible. It just wasn’t the same. I did like that it had Dex and Rachel (from Something Borrowed) as some side characters in this book. And it was a page turner. I think my hesitancy in giving this more than 3 stars is that I felt the ending was a bit weak. Or maybe I was just still really tired from my weekend.

Either way, I do know it was my least favorite of her books.
